Armando De La Cerda, Trainer

 
Armando is a Multiple Graded Stakes Winning Trainer who has worked on the racetrack for more than two decades, including stints under the tutelage of trainers such as Noel Hickey, Mike Stidham and Moises Yanez. For five years prior to going out on his own, Armando was assistant trainer for Brian Williamson. Armando won his first stakes race with La Tia in the Lincoln Heritage Handicap, and that filly went on to finish third in the Grade III Modesty Handicap and fifth in the Grade I Beverly D. La Tia was named Champion Older Filly or Mare and Champion Turf Female in 2013.

Armando has been very successful with Midwest winning multiple stakes and operating the contingent at Gulfstream Park.
